The main activity of the Centre is to provide the public with general and specific information on the EU, provide brochures and EU publication, to act as a constant forum for events of EC Liaison Office and implementing partners of the EU funded projects and to cooperate with all interested parties in order to organize joint information activities.

Declaration by the High Representative, Catherine Ashton, on behalf of the European Union on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, 3 May 2012

“Freedom of expression as enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human rights entails everyone’s right to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers. On the occasion of World Press Freedom day, the European Union recalls these principles and pays tribute to all those who fight for the respect of freedom of expression and for free, pluralistic press and other media.

EU Office stresses the importance of meeting EU environmental standards by 2017

The EU Office welcomes the intentions of the Kosovo Energy Corporation to address environmental concerns and take actions that reduce the pollution caused by the thermal power plants, especially Kosovo A. Any investment that reduces the levels of pollution produced by Kosovo A is considered as a benefit not only to the environment, damaged by the lignite-burning power plants, but also to improving health problems that the population living in proximity of the power plants is facing on a daily basis.

EU statement on the Kosovo electoral reform

"In light of the European Union’s strong support for the electoral reform process in Kosovo, the EUSR/Head of European Union Office and EU Member States represented in Pristina would like to express concern with the lack of substantial progress to date, especially given the imminent conclusion of the Assembly Electoral Reform Committee’s mandate on 22 April 2012.
