The main activity of the Centre is to provide the public with general and specific information on the EU, provide brochures and EU publication, to act as a constant forum for events of EC Liaison Office and implementing partners of the EU funded projects and to cooperate with all interested parties in order to organize joint information activities.

Samuel ŽBOGAR - Head of the European Union Office in Kosovo /European Union Special Representative in Kosovo

Mr Samuel Žbogar was appointed by the EU High Representative/EC Vice-President Catherine Ashton as the Head of the EU Office in Kosovo on 21 December 2011 and by the decision of the Council of the EU of 25 January 2012 as the European Union Special Representative in Kosovo. Mr. Samuel Žbogar is a former Slovenian Minister for Foreign Affairs and diplomat with 24 years experience in key strategic postings, including China, the UN in New York, and Washington DC.

EU presents Masterplan for new Brezovica touristic resort

The EU Office in Kosovo presented a masterplan which will serve as a blueprint for the development of a year-round touristic resort in Brezovica, Shtërpcë/Štrpce municipality. The plan for Brezovica's revival foresees development of a fully-fledged touristic centre in a close-by area to the west of the existing ski centre.

From January to June 2012, Denmark will hold the Presidency of the Council of the EU. During that time, it wants to bring Europe together and make it more resilient for the tough challenges ahead. Denmark is taking the helm at a difficult time for the EU. Along with other member countries and the EU institutions, it is looking to guide the bloc out of the economic crisis and put it back on the path to growth. The Danish government’s 4 big priorities are 1. Economy, 2. Growth, 3. Environment and 4. Security.
